Among a few of the most important personal characteristics in building trust is showing leadership. Studies have shown that people will listen to someone that has shown or does show leadership. It’s almost human nature to listen to somebody who leads others in projects and business.

In most successful companies, the leaders are those who are “higher up” in the company and usually get their due in part to their leadership skills. Do you see this where you work? Now, I’m not saying that it’s always the case but in most instances it can be found to be true.

Take it upon yourself to lead people. Those successful individuals who’ve proven themselves will usually lead others to making the best approaches, proper decisions, and teach others to lead like themselves.

How have you shown leadership? Or, have you?

Quality leadership doesn’t come naturally but instead with experience and practice.

It seems like everything costs money now-a-days, huh? Yes, there almost always seems to be a “cheaper” alternative but cheaper doesn’t mean better, it just means cheaper.

The growth of software ranging from image manipulation to video editing to web design, we have quite a lot of power at our finger tips. You may have always wondered how to create a PDF/eBook document without purchasing a $50 software package when you already have Microsoft Word or a similar word processing document. Well, it’s not too difficult and can be done so at no cost, if you already have a word processing program.

Why would you want to turn a word document into a PDF? The most important reason is to protect your document from being copied and pasted by other eBook writers. If you’re campaign involves giving away your eBook for the prospects contact information, yet someone else is using the exact words from your document and put into their own for THEIR profitability, you’d probably be quite angry. So, to make it a bit more challenging from “copy & paste” lovers, creating a PDF file will remove the “copy & paste” possibilities thus giving you a level of comfort.

In my next video, I’ll show you how to do so and the steps to take to implement it. Oh, and I’ll do so for free – no need to submit your info or anything.

Many people who have had experience in an MLM or business where sponsoring is normal will agree that they’ve been lied to or heard deceptive information from their sponsor and/or upline. This is a common issue due to lack of skill and failure.

As the internet marketing and home-businesses continue to grow, more people learn that what they are initially told by the potential sponsor isn’t exactly accurate. The industry has received a bad rap for quite a while thanks to scammers, liars, and deceptive practices by dishonest people. It’s a shame people are so money-hungry that they’ll tell you what you want to hear to make five dollars.

In most cases upline and your sponsor will try to help you but be careful that they don’t take advantage of you and that you carefully watch your wallet. Before you know it, the cost of the business may be way more than you originally believed. It’s easy to trust in the hype (which happens all the time) so be aware it’s usually not as easy as it sounds.

Do you know why people are hungry for you to join their business? It’s simple, they aren’t successful and need you to help them grow THEIR business.

Let’s take John and Tom for example. John is a blue collar Chef at a small local restaurant. He started a business with a travel company and has created a mediocre website with a picture of himself with a t-shirt, messy hair, and bad quality picture. Tom works for himself with a travel company he joined. His website has a good quality picture, wearing a suit, smiling, and offers his contact information directly.

…who would you more likely listen to? Probably Tom, right?

Impression make a huge difference. You are more likely to listen to someone who shows they are successful than someone who simply says they have a business but doesn’t even appear to be successful. Of course this isn’t always the case. Unfortunately people fall victim to believing John because of the little knowledge they have about having a business and making money. As well, people like John don’t even know how to train their downline because they themselves don’t know what to do.

Do your research on your upline. Google search engine is a great place to start. Try typing in the sponsor’s name such as “John Doe” with quotes. Searching like that will look for the exact string; John Doe.

Good luck and be careful what you believe – it’s easy to lie.

If you’ve been involved in internet marketing for at least a month, you’ve probably heard the term ‘duplication’. This is a common term used when referring to doing the same thing as someone else to be successful (to put it simply). It sounds good of course; copy what your sponsor is doing to be successful and you will be successful too!

Time to break it to you – it DOES NOT WORK that way.

If duplication worked like your upline/sponsor or other mentors (who claim success) say, why do most people fail at their business? And likewise, why do downlines collapse even though they do the same procedures?

So why do many people tell you to duplicate? The reason is because duplication makes it sound EASY. Generally people are lazy and want to do the least work required. A duplicatable system sets in your mind that there is an existing method that you can do as well which will work. Unfortunately it’s a lie that duplication works.

You probably like to work or do tasks differently than I do – ok, not in every aspect but you get my drift. What works for me, such as calling cold leads, doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you. I can easily say “Just copy what I’m doing, it’s working for me” and string you along…though that’s not my style at all. You have to realize that misleading your downline is one of the worst moves you can make in this industry. It hurts your name, ruins potential long-term relationships, and can haunt you for years. Always remember that people work differently and may not like to do the same things as you are doing.

Next time someone tells you the system is duplicatable, you should laugh. Don’t let others fool you, it’s your money and you will be told whatever it takes to get you to buy so THEY make money.

Stick up for yourself and be careful who you consider listening to for information.
