Is there one? No, sorry to break the news. The fact is there are dozens and dozens of advertising sources you can take advantage of right now to get your products in front of people. Whether it’s PPC, website ads, banner exchanges, email advertising, traffic exchanges, etc., there is no single “best” source to use.

You need to evaluate the advertising source for your purpose. Are you looking to tap into search engine traffic? Maybe PPC (such as adwords) is a good idea. Is your need to generate website views without having a budget? Free traffic exchanges may be your best bet.

The fact of that matter is, no ONE source is the “best”. Your situation may be different than someone else’s such as budget, time and need…or combination. So how do you know what will work for you? Testing sources for advertising will help tell you what works the best for YOU. Some people swear by traffic exchanges but since most manual traffic exchanges require lots of time to invest, that might not work for you.

Do your tests, record the results, make changes and try another sources.

Best of luck!

During the last couple months I’ve been paying attention to something that has bothered me. It seemed that if I purchased a tutorial/training course or similar product that something better would come along not too long after. Now, of course that isn’t hard to believe since thousands of people are involved in affiliate marketing. Plus, hundreds (if not more) of people release products each month…

What is really amazing to see is who promotes these products. I’ve seen some big name marketers promote a product and then the next month they promote a very similar product, touting IT as the best…what about that first product you were recommending? That to me seems an unethical tactic and a poor way to advertise affiliate products.

To you, how much selling is over-kill? And, how often? When I see the same people advertising products practically every few days, it really becomes annoying. No?

One of the easiest ways of getting traffic to any website is by using a very popular means of advertising called a Traffic Exchange. To put it briefly, a Traffic Exchange works like this: you view a member website and in return you will get a visitor to your website. Typically there is a surf (when you are viewing member websites one at a time) ratio such as 3:1 which means you would view three member websites and in return have your website seen once. If you understand this then you’d agree that the best type surf ratio would be one that didn’t exist.

We put together a Traffic Exchange that solves the surf ratio problem. Instead of a 3:1 ratio or even 1:1 ratio, why not give unlimited website views to you? This makes it one of the best traffic exchanges around.

List Surfing is a new way of using the power behind a Traffic Exchange without the hassle of surfing CONSTANTLY and having to view far more websites than you’ll receive back. Instead, all you need to do is surf 50 websites a month and open 10 member emails every 30 days – you’ll receive unlimited traffic to your website(s) this way. You are not depending on accumulating credits nor are you going to spend a long time trying to grow your credits.

On top of the normal surfing we added an email advertising feature. You are able to email hundreds of other members to advertise your website, and they WANT to open it because they’ll earn more credits and keep their account active.

We’ve received great feedback from members and have made MANY improvements to the features. Signup for Free to ListSurfing and start driving traffic to your websites!

Additional features include text ads, downline builder, banner ads, start pages and more…

Previously I wrote about the importance in building an email list so this post is about the ‘how’ part of the equation. I’d like to first mention that there are dozens of ways to effectively build an email list of your own that I simply will not cover in this post since there are so many possibilities.

There are thousands of people on the Internet every day who are searching for an answer. Generally that answer will solve some kind of problem they are facing or resolve an issue. sorry, but you need to read between the lines a little bit in order to understand what I mean. The answers people search for aren’t necessarily based on factual questions but rather on ‘how to’ or some kind of help to make their lives better. It can be in the form of a book, a product to help in the kitchen, cooking instructions, medical “cures” for a sickness…the list goes on.

What does this have to do with “how” to build a list? Something that you may or may not know already is that you can build a list in virtually any market/niche that you desire. Marketers already have wide variety of email lists from bowling to cooking to musical instrument instructions to the most obvious, how to make money on the Internet. One of the strategies to list building is targeting a niche of some kind. You want to focus your attention to a specific market in order to appeal to a audience you know would be interested in your product/service. In most cases the people in markets outside the “how to make money online” niche are going to be easier to sell as they have not been hammered or saturated with product offerings around their interests. By targeting these less saturated niches you open plenty of opportunity to grow your business and get plenty of untouched leads.

In order to build a list the easiest way is providing content for free. This content needs to be valuable, interesting, and unique/different than the average content you would find on almost any related website. By providing valuable, free content, people will want to come back for more. If you offer a bunch of stuff for free (and it’s valuable with good info) the visitor/prospect will be more willing to buy from you – that’s simply how it is.

You can offer free content such as videos and eBooks via an auto-responder. The visitor goes to your website, they read some copy for the freebie (and the copy shouldn’t be long by the way because you’re giving something away), the visitor fills out a short form which automatically subscribes them to your auto-responder system, and then they get the freebie emailed to them automatically. Now you have that visitors information and they have the freebie you promised. it’s really that simple, honestly.

Have questions? leave a comment or contact me though my form. I’ll usually respond within a business day. If I don’t, try write a comment instead.

As a member of ListDomino.com, you can have the ability to email thousands of people who join after you without the requirement of referring members. We had a pre-launch to get the ball rolling and the site has been a success so far. Now we’ve opened it to everyone so I strongly suggest taking a look for yourself.

Heck, you can hear my Voice Recording on the home page too- I thought that was pretty cool.

Most marketers are aware that social networks have tremendous value in growing their business, at least most businesses. More social networks scatter the internet like a severe plague – there are several dozen social networks you could join right now. However, doing so might be a bit counter-productive.

The two most popular social networks and social media sites are Myspace (existed first) and Facebook (newer to the market). Both networks have huge followings with millions of users but the user interface for each is quite different.

Now, Facebook allows you to create “Fan pages” which are perfect for companies who want to broaden their internet traffic and presence. Corporate companies are beginning to take advantage of this which is a good move to keep up with internet trends. Additionally these pages can be indexed by Google and allow you to post website links, articles, videos, etc. – it’s like having your own web page, kind of.

One of the best benefits to using Facebook is that your “Fan page” or even profile can become viral. I was talking to someone from a company who created a Fan page, started off with about 35 “Fans” (people) who were all employees at the company, and their popularity grew to over 600 “Fans” within a few months…yet they don’t actually know 95% of those fans. Additionally, it has increased their website traffic which you probably know is always a plus.

Did I mention Facebook is free to the user?

Make it a part of your daily marketing efforts.

Take advantage of the networking tools.

Create a profile as a marketer

Connect with other marketers be being their “friend”

Have fun and be creative!

When you do any marketing, you have to decide when and where to spend money and what type of marketing you’ll do for free (or maybe you only want to do one of those). Two of the areas of internet marketing that can yield good results is in Organic and Paid Search.

Organic Search is that which Google, Yahoo, MSN, & other search engines show you when you perform a search. For example, if you do a search for “Dog House” using Google’s search engine, you see a list of results in the left hand side which are not in the “sponsored links” area. These results are considered Organic Search because they are not paying Google for the search and show up based on criteria that search engine spiders look for in order to rank the page based on the keyword – in this case it’s “Dog House”.

Paid Search also shows up when you do a search in Google for “Dog House” but the results are based on how much an advertiser is willing to pay to show up as a search result. In the right hand side of the page and above the Organic Search results you’ll see some sites listed. These sites are paying Google to show up there but do not necessarily meet your searched terms.

The difference here is that you, as an advertiser/marketer, would rather show in Organic Searches as you don’t pay for each search, clicks, or impressions. You could have 2,000 clicks on your website and never have to pay a dime for those clicks from the Organic Search results but if you had 2,000 clicks and using Paid Search, that would be a very different story…and likely paying a few thousand dollars.

Here’s the challenge – showing up first in Google, Yahoo, and MSN within the Organic Search results for your most relative keywords. If you can do that, you’re on the right path and will save tons of cash. To do so you’ll need to know the many important ways of implementing SEO into your website. No, it’s not impossible but can take some time to do it right and includes copy writing that is targeted to your keywords.

Whether you sell your own product/service, are an affiliate to sell products/services, or simply build an opportunity/business or MLM, a very crucial part to your “success” is producing sales in some way – in almost every case, a sale means you make money, plain and simple. In this case “Success”is determined by making money, above the small amount of chump change that is made by a good percentage of people.

Some if not most of the successful marketers would agree that much of their focus is around lead generation. This doesn’t mean sitting in forums and buying leads necessarily but rather the way they operate is based on generation more leads from their products/services. You may be rolling your eyes thinking “Umm…isn’t their focus on selling stuff to make more money?”…and yes, that’s precisely why lead generation is important.

The easiest way to make a lot of money over and over again is by having a list of potential customers. Think about how many mailing lists you may be on and how many of those emails you get are telling you about a product/service you can buy – most likely that will be MOST of those emails.

Now, let’s put it into the eyes of an internet marketer like yourself. Say you have 500 people in your “newsletter” or email list who you can send an email to in a matter of minutes..for practically no cost (obviously taking into consideration the cost of your email system). And, if you build a list well by connecting with your readers and removing your “salesman” approach (which I teach how), that list of 500 will not drop down more than a handful of subscribers. You have at your fingertips people who will immediately receive your advertisement, opportunity, or product link and you don’t have to wait for traffic that will probably not buy from you anyway.

What would 200, 500, 1000, 2500 or even 10,000 opt-in leads who have already agreed to receive your emails be worth to you? Do you think you could explode your income and business by having that type of following? If you don’t think so, we need to sit down and talk!

If you spend some time looking at some of the successful internet marketers that exist today you’ll see what I’m talking about – they continually put effort into growing their mailing lists. Some ways they build their lists are not as obvious as others…

Here’s where it gets good…

There are plenty of options to generate leads which not all are very effective nor worthy of your time. What you want is a system that draws someone to fill out their contact information in exchange for something such as a free eBook or tutorial – they get something and so do you, just make sure it’s free and valuable because that will make this MUCH easier.

So…how do you find such a system or create one? Well, unless you know how to make it eye-catching, I would say using an existing system would be way easier. It doesn’t have to be fancy on the back-end so long as it works; collects lead information and delivers the product to that lead. And, you don’t have to go searching for one – I’ve already created it with no monthly fees or costs involved to use it on your end. That’s right, it’s Free.

Those who are part of my club will get a first go with the system. So long as you’re in the club, you’ll learn how to use it including types of advertising to do in order to generate the leads. The system will do the “selling” for you even though there really isn’t anything for sale. Additionally, I may have an option for site/link rotation so you can earn sign-ups without really doing anything.

Sound good? Keep posted!

Alright, I know that question is usually a given. To put it simply, who isn’t? It’s actually not hard to find a prospect/lead because almost anyone you talk to falls in that category. That’s right, people you talk to while going about your daily life are prospects. OK, it’s not exactly that simple, but for the most part it’s true.

Here’s a great example to think about next time you’re in a similar situation.

When you go to a grocery store, get the items you want, and stand in line at the checkout station, you’re in a prime spot for talking to a prospect; the person that is checking you out is your “target”. Do you think they would like to make $2.00 more an hour? In most sane cases, it would be a given. So, do you think they’d like to make $20 an hour? What about $200 a day? Hopefully you get the picture.

Almost anyone would like to make more money, why do you think a lot of people try to move up in their jobs? Most of the time a job seeker is looking to make more money than their previous or current job.

Next time you’re at a cash register, ask the person checking you out the following…

“How would you like if I got you a raise of $1 more an hour?” …I’ll bet they give a positive response!

You see, people you meet, talk to, communicate with, and pass by every day are ordinary. What I mean is that your leads don’t have to be bought through the internet or people you already know – everyone is a prospect/lead in some way. You need to put forth the effort in finding them, and simple genuine conversations can be very powerful (and are free).

Make an effort to talk to someone everyday about your business, product, or opportunity. Like they say, the only bad question is the one not asked…so get out their and ask people. You’re already doing that through online advertising except in an indirect way. Verbal communication will show your leadership, commitment, and trust – buying leads doesn’t do the same thing.

Whether you are in the business of selling CDs, eBooks, or jewelry…without sales you’re not going to make any money. To generate sales, you need people that are going to be informed (through various mediums) about your products/services. The easiest way of informing people about you offers is by maintaining a list of customers, prospects, clients, and friends.

Most people don’t even realize that building a list is one of the first tools to utilize. There’s a general consensus that it’s hard to build a list, but that’s simply up to the individual. Millions of people browse the internet for information, products, and services. Wouldn’t you like to have 500 people on your list that recieve notification of your offers? What about 1000, 2,500, or 10,000 people who listen to and respect you?

I know 10,000 is somewhat of a stretch – though it’s entirely possible.

Start with a list of people that you know. First off, it’s good practice but more importantly it’s easier for them to listen since they already know you…and vice versa. The easiest way of doing this is by sending each person a personal email. Yes this may be time consuming but a good start. What do you provide to them? That depends on your market. It could be about news, articles, your own tips, guidance, or something related. Whatever you do, make sure you’re providing something with value (in some way) and NOT always trying to sell them on something. This is also important when you’re communicating with people you don’t really know.

People on your list need to trust you. You have to create your own character that they will want to listen to and see value in so they that don’t unsubscribe.

Oh, and lastly, you want to build an opt-in list. This means a list of people who manually accept joining your mailing list. Even if you add them to the list yourself and then they have to “accept”, you want them to approve joining. Much more valuable this way and you reduce complaints about SPAM.
