As you focus your attention on Internet Marketing and Network Marketing, you’ll find that more people are turning to additional income opportunities, even if they’ve never considered/tried before. Job security has always meant nothing to me and now it means even less. At my young age I never thought I’d hear about so many friends/contacts getting laid-off. The wake-up calls are coming and people are finally realizing that “Job Security” is a myth.

Out of all this comes what I (and many others) consider a great time to start a business in Internet Marketing (if you’re going to spend the time necessary). As I mentioned, more people are turning to income opportunities they can do from their homes. Although they don’t want to spend money, they’ll be willing to invest into something that could be a nice ROI (return on investment). I hope to see every single person that has had and will have the unfortunate lay-off happen to them able to generate their own revenue to supplement their income loss.

Not everyone has the interest to start their own company nor should they want to do so without a concrete plan. If you’ve dreamed about having your own business/company, can afford the investment, I’d say now is the time to do so. No, I wouldn’t start a clothing store or franchise, but rather work entirely online as your costs will likely be much lower than a traditional brick and mortar business.

So, if I were asked, “Should I start an Internet business?” my answer would be simple. “Yes, if you have a plan, have performed the needed research and understand (can afford) the investment.

Millions of people use the Internet everyday, despite the economy – chances are, you can tap into some of those millions….

Why do people in this industry continue to lose focus? Can’t you spend the time a work a business for at least 6 months before you move on to something else?

It IS possible to make good money without an MLM. Generally people want value and many companies quickly lack that characteristic that helps make an opportunity stable and/or grow. Additionally, you can actually make a lot of money with your own product/service or someone else’s.

The ‘Marketing Club’ we are building is not an MLM where thousands of people will be waiting at the door so they get spillover to make money for doing nothing. A structure that is filled with hot air and tire kickers will eventually (most likely quickly) fail/collapse. Instead, our club is an environment built by real marketers for those who want to learn, network, and earn real money without the tire-kickers waiting for the spillover.

Also I want to add that we’re teaming up with an internet marketer who HAS made millions and doesn’t just say so, he proves he’s done just that. You CAN be a part of our team and I’d personally welcome those who are ready to sit down and make things happen.

Time to break it to you – it DOES NOT WORK that way.

If duplication worked like your upline/sponsor or other mentors (who claim success) say, why do most people fail at their business? And likewise, why do downlines collapse even though they do the same procedures?

So why do many people tell you to duplicate? The reason is because duplication makes it sound EASY. Generally people are lazy and want to do the least work required. A duplicatable system sets in your mind that there is an existing method that you can do as well which will work. Unfortunately it’s a lie that duplication works.

You probably like to work or do tasks differently than I do – ok, not in every aspect but you get my drift. What works for me, such as calling cold leads, doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you. I can easily say “Just copy what I’m doing, it’s working for me” and string you along…though that’s not my style at all. You have to realize that misleading your downline is one of the worst moves you can make in this industry. It hurts your name, ruins potential long-term relationships, and can haunt you for years. Always remember that people work differently and may not like to do the same things as you are doing.

Next time someone tells you the system is duplicatable, you should laugh. Don’t let others fool you, it’s your money and you will be told whatever it takes to get you to buy so THEY make money.

Stick up for yourself and be careful who you consider listening to for information.

Let’s look at a great example; gambling.

Why do people play the lottery? Answer: They have the possibility of winning hundreds of thousands of dollars or even millions of dollars. In order to win the money, they have to first spend money. Well, the lottery system makes it easy of course. For example, for $1, you can buy a “quick pick” string that will give you one chance to win. Hmm, for $1 I could win a million dollars (number fluctuates for each game)…that’s a pretty good deal! For $5, I can have 5 times the number of chances to win.

There is also the ability to play instantly through scratch tickets. Depending on how much you want to “risk”, you can win more money. From $1 tickets to $10 tickets – actually, I believe there are $20 tickets too. Different ticket styles allow you to win different sums of money, it’s that simple. And, they create different interest levels based on the game style. Usually when you win a small amount, that of which might be equal to or just above what you spent, you’ll go back for more in hopes of landing a bigger prize. Who wins? The lottery does.

I wish we weren’t so prone to thinking it’s going to happen; winning or quickly making big money. As much disappointment as it can bring, the thought can be very uplifting. Well, I say that with a grain of salt especially when you’ve already been down that road.

We need to understand that the ‘Get Rich Quick’ mentality doesn’t happen the way we may invision. Likewise, opportunities that claim you can make a ton of money very quickly are simply providing hype and sales technique so that you will join/buy what they are offering. This is not to say that you can’t make money quickly, but taking a reality check is needed in these situations.

Simply put, create a plan of attack. Whether you are a member of a direct selling company or have your own product, understand it takes time to build the business. Give yourself adequate time to achieve the goals and leave additional time on top of the goal. Do yourself a favor; don’t set yourself up to be disappointed.
