Unless you already make it a routine to network with other like-minded individuals, you may not understand why networking is important. Similar to finding a job, knowing other people in the industry who may have an inside information, more experience, good contacts, and so on can be helpful in many ways while trying to be successful.
With the vast number of social networking sites available on the internet, it has become much easier to communicate with other people, share your goals, and work with like-minded individuals. Email is a great way to communicate so long as you keep a sincere objective in your messages. Nobody who is sane enjoys SPAM so be careful who you email without getting to know them first.
A great weekly task is sending your contacts an email with tips and information on topics such as computer/software, opportunities, advertising/marketing, money, and so on. We’ve become information crazy with videos, ebooks, newsletters, websites, emails, and audios. People love to learn new things that can help them – networking with others can bring new ideas to the table.
Writing a blog, such as this one, is a good way to network with others. People can read your entries, learn about you, and follow your guidance. As well, it offers a place to share with the world your knowledge of the industry, if that’s your goal.
By making networking efforts on a daily basis in some form, you are making a step in the right direction to setting yourself up for long term success. Keep on building your contact list, stay updated with what other people are doing, and continue to remain positive.
Giving it All I Can
The entrepreneur gene runs through my blood. It is not something you can acquire; you are born with it. This blog is meant to share my experiences, opinions, help and advice. You may or may not agree, but that is what makes us individuals. Make a difference for one person and you can help the world. Inspire to take action, Live with the glass half-full, Give life all you can. - Matt Koshko
